Since Miss Vivianna’s photos are on the way as I type, I thought it time to get the first half of her session on the blog! Truth be known, she decided to change her routine the day I came over for her newborn session. I did what I could, and I came back the next week to finish up. And, I couldn’t be happier with the way the do-over session went! It’s a good thing the first try was at 8 days old; it meant her do-over was at a perfect 13 days—right within the 2 week window!

I saw this week’s theme on I Heart Faces is “Let Them Be Little,” and what fits that theme better than a 13-day-old newborn? We may not miss that first week or two of the new sleeping patterns or the steep learning curve of figuring out how to comfort a newborn, but all that cuddling…I especially miss Tristan sleeping on my chest and how he fit there just right.

I have gotten to know Meghan and Greg pretty well in the last month! Just a couple days after Meghan’s maternity session (full post coming in the next few days), Meghan went into labor. They had volunteered to be a guinea pig for my Origins Day After session (also coming within the next week or so), and then we had a first try at Vivianna’s newborn session. Wouldn’t you know it? The day I came over for her session, she decided that she would change her routine! We just planned for me to come back a few days later and got the house warmer than the first day, and she slept like a champ!
